FEATURES
Draw a selection around any region of your screen. Lingo Lens instantly extracts text — subtitles, lyrics, in-game dialogue, on-screen menus.
Choose between Google Translate for fast broad-language support, or OpenAI GPT-4o for context-aware translations — ideal for anime, games, and dialogue.
Translated text appears directly in the Results window — always in sync with your content, no tab-switching required.
HOW IT WORKS
01
Open Lingo Lens and position the Scanner window over any part of your screen — a subtitle bar, a menu, a caption.
02
OCR runs locally and continuously, pulling text from your selection in real time as on-screen content changes.
03
The Results window displays translated text alongside a live capture of your selection — instant, clear, always in sync.

FAQ
What languages are supported?
Lingo Lens uses Google Translate and supports dozens of language pairs. Japanese→English, Korean→English, and Chinese→English work particularly well.
Does it work with subtitles and live video?
Yes — Lingo Lens captures whatever is visible in your selected region, including streaming subtitles, in-game text, captions, and on-screen menus.
Do I need an internet connection?
Translation requests are sent to Google Translate's API, so an active internet connection is required. OCR runs entirely locally on your machine.
What counts as one request?
Each time new text is detected and sent for translation, that is one request. Repeated identical text is served from the local cache and does not count toward your limit.
Can I upgrade my plan?
Yes — upgrade to Pro at any time from the Options panel inside the app. You can manage or cancel your subscription from the same panel.
Which Windows versions are supported?
Lingo Lens runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). It uses native Windows APIs for screen capture and overlay rendering.
