These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Lingo Lens, a Windows desktop application that translates on-screen text in real time ("the Service"), operated by Ronan Craig trading as Lingo Lens ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must create an account to use Lingo Lens. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Free plan: New accounts are placed on the Free plan, which includes a limited number of translations per calendar month. The current limit is displayed in the app and may be adjusted at our discretion with reasonable notice.
Pro plan: A Pro subscription removes the monthly translation limit (up to the Pro quota shown in the app) and provides access to all features.
Pricing. The Pro plan is currently priced at £4.99 per month (or an annual equivalent where offered). Prices are displayed in the app and at checkout before purchase. All prices include applicable VAT where required.
Merchant of Record. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, who act as Merchant of Record. Paddle is responsible for billing, invoicing, and tax compliance. By subscribing you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Billing cycle. Your subscription renews automatically at the start of each billing period (monthly or annually) until you cancel.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the app (Options → Manage subscription). Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period; you will not be charged again after cancellation.
Refunds. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact us at privacy@lingo-lens.io within 30 days of your initial payment and we will issue a full refund. Refunds after 30 days are at our discretion.

Lingo Lens uses third-party APIs to provide translations:
We are not responsible for the accuracy of translations provided by these third-party services.
The Lingo Lens app, its design, and its code are owned by Ronan Craig. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app for your own purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You retain all rights to the content you translate. We do not claim any ownership over it.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of profits.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of material changes by displaying a notice in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
